New Appointment at Didcot First

New Appointment at Didcot First

Didcot First has recruited David Bates as their new Development Manager.  David has taken over from Alison Adams following her departure with the independent organisation at the end of May.  Working with Emma East, David will be managing Didcot First's events including the Community Matters Networking Lunch and Board Meetings.

David, a self-employed Training Consultant, previously worked at Oxfordshire Community Voluntary Action (OCVA) as a Development Officer supporting new and existing charities and community organisations in the South Oxfordshire area.

David said: "I have worked closely with various organisations in and around Didcot over the last 7 years, including Didcot First.  I'm very much looking forward to the new challenge and continuing the work of Didcot First in promoting the town as a positive place to live work and invest.”

David Pryor, Chair of Didcot First said: "Didcot First Board members, Emma and I are delighted that David has joined us.  We were very sad to see Alison leave as she helped create Didcot First with Di Chesterman over 10 years ago.  David brings with him a wealth of knowledge, great skills and expertise that will bring new added value to our team."
